About The Artwork

I have always been deeply inspired by historical architectural buildings, as they hold great significance in shaping our history. My passion for these structures led me to conduct extensive research on various historical buildings. I have translated this inspiration into my paintings, where I aim to preserve the essence of these magnificent structures. My artwork serves as a testament to my admiration for historical architecture and how it intertwines with Lahore's rich history, encompassing both the splendid Mughal era of the 16th and 17th centuries and the British Colonial architecture of the 18th and 19th centuries. These architectural wonders are now overshadowed by the latest and modern designs, making it even more vital to capture their beauty in my art. To bring my vision to life, I employ a diverse array of techniques, each carefully chosen to achieve the desired effect in a particular painting. I often experiment with washes and glazes, skillfully diluting and mixing watercolor paints to create depth and luminosity in my artworks. The wet-into-wet technique allows me to achieve captivating textures and seamless blending, adding a unique dimension to my paintings. Additionally, I occasionally incorporate ink and wash into my pieces, adding an intriguing contrast and enhancing the overall visual appeal. This versatile approach helps me capture the intricate details of historical buildings and their surroundings, thereby preserving their significance and cultural relevance. Through my art, I hope to not only convey my passion for historical architecture but also remind viewers of the importance of preserving our cultural heritage in the face of modernization. Every stroke of my brush is dedicated to keeping the legacy of these architectural marvels alive for generations to come.
