Nihan Yilmaz (-NHN-) is an artist whose work reflects a deep passion for sharing meaningful messages and lessons, combined with a commitment to exploring global themes and events through acrylic painting. Born in Genk, Belgium in 1993, Nihan spent his formative years with drawing his favorite cartoon characters from tv and videocasettes. His interest in art began at an early age, after succesfully painting a bird in the kindergarten class. Since then, he spent countless hours sketching, painting, and experimenting with various materials. Nihan's talent and dedication eventually led him to start pursueing a formal art education at the Art Academy of Maasmechelen, where he remained active in arts during his youth. After completing his highschool education in Business Management, Nihan began to establish himself as an artist, exhibiting his work on multiple social media platforms and participating in local and regional art projects. Over time, his work began to gain attention, and he sold dozens of works and commissions. Today, Nihan is known for his striking art and spontaneous style of painting, which often incorporate acrylic paint or spraypaint. He is particularly interested in exploring human characteristics and teaching lessons, which he approaches by demonstrating them as an appealing image. One of his most notable works is the painting "Graduated since birth" (seen above), which shows a refusal to the labels that children or also elder people receive by others based on made up criteria. This painting stands for the individual deciding already from the start to become a succes. In addition to his studio practice, Nihan is committed to giving back to the art community. He frequently participates in gatherings to connect and share ideas with other artists, and he enjoys mentoring emerging artists. Looking to the future, Nihan plans to continue pushing the boundaries of visual arts, searching to explore new techniques and materials, and continuing to delve into the real world issues that inspire his work. He is commited to exhibit his work on a global scale, and to inspire others to pursue their own artistic passions.
