Graffiti Hearts Vibrant colourful hearts pop art painting. Spray paint on canvas. The canvas also has a texture to it, where I did an underpainting. I think this adds to the modern, urban street art feel.

Contact us.Ross is a British artist and cartoonist whose work blends pop art, street art, and satirical illustration. Published in two of the UK’s most iconic comics, The Beano and Viz, his work is driven by sharp social observation and a distinctly sardonic sense of humour.
Growing up in a working-class environment, Ross often draws inspiration from everyday life on the British council estate, capturing scenes and characters rooted in recognisable urban settings. His work reflects the humour, resilience, and absurdity found in ordinary moments of contemporary British life.
As a teenager he became involved in graffiti, and his natural inclination toward cartooning led him to focus on character-based imagery. This early immersion in street culture continues to shape his artistic language. Using materials such as spray paint, acrylic, and paint markers, he creates expressive figures defined by bold outlines, drips, and splashes that echo the immediacy of graffiti.
Ross’s influences range from celebrated British cartoonists and illustrators such as Ronald Searle, Quentin Blake, and Gerald Scarfe, to the expressive, observational work of fellow Plymouth artist Beryl Cook, as well as the visual impact and social commentary of street artists including Banksy.
His work sits at the intersection of cartooning, pop surrealism, and urban art—combining humour, character, and raw energy to reflect the environments and experiences that shaped him.
