About The Artwork

Oil and Acrylic on Panel 48×48 Mixed Media 2.5 Museum Wrap Panel Semi-Precious Stones ORIGINAL – this is the original, there are no reproductions done or going to be done of this piece Accompanied by a letter of authenticity Ready to hang, no frame required From the Artist: This was such a fun and grand piece to do. I call it “Grandeur” not only for eye catching and how big it is, but for how many amazing specimens of stones I used. I really went all out with this painting in adding so many semi-precious stones. Each piece is so unique and great on its own, but that’s what makes this piece so grand is when you put them all together it really makes a statement. I have collected these stones one by one and strand by strand for a year. I have collected them at bead and jewelry shows, found online through out the world. I have used one or two in paintings before and didnt feel like they spoke and made an impact. However when I was collecting them and had them all grouped on the table, I was mesmerized. They were so amazing like that I knew from my reaction from seeing the stones as they were that I had to do a large, grand piece with alot of different stones. I used metallic acrylic paint for the sky and oil for the foreground. I used tissue paper for the texture which I feel in person really brings it to life and more dimension. I crushed up clear quartz to line the clouds with, which really sparkle under the right light. This was one of the funnest projects I have done and I hope you enjoy it as much as I loved putting it together. Semi Precious stones used: – Prehnite Prehnite is a stone of unconditional love. Prehnite enhances inner knowledge, showing the path forward to spiritual growth through attunement to divine energy. Prehnite connects the will and the heart. In so doing one’s actions attain the highest good. – Druzy Quart – Mica Mica has reflective qualities to recognize flaws and see them with love. Mica is said to enhance flexibility in all realms and also assist growth in those areas. It is used to diminish anger, hostility, and nervous energy. Mica aligns energy of the body and releases blockages of energy within the body. It is used to improve visions and clarity. It is said to help eliminate negative personality traits by helping one recognize them. – Agate Protection, Strength, Harmony. Agate’s most noticeable properties overall are balancing yin/yang energy, courage, protection, healing, and calming. – Mexican, Brazilian and Moroccan Geodes – Rose Quartz Rose quartz is often called the “Love Stone.” It’s energetic hallmark is that of unconditional love that opens the heart chakra. This makes rose quartz a stone for every type of love: self-love, family, platonic, romantic, and unconditional. As a variety of quartz, rose quartz has high energy, and this strong energy can enhance love in virtually any situation. – Clear Quartz Cleans the atmosphere of negative energies and balances all endeavors. – Zeolite Zeolites are said to be extraordinarily helpful for absorbing and removing toxins, whether it be in the environment or in a person. In a person, this metaphysical aspect makes zeolites excellent healing stones, – Golden Celestite – Selenite Selenite is a stone of mental clarity. This clarity enhances mental flexibility and enables strong decision making abilities. It can affect every day life as full mental clarity into play to lesson confusion and mental disorientation. Selenite is also a stone of truth and honesty. This promotes good business practices as well as honesty in other types of relationships. – Apophyllite – Chalcedony It is used to lessen hostility and bring emotional stability. Chalcedony is considered a sacred stone by many Native American tribes and used for ceremonies. It has been called a “stone of brotherhood” bringing energies of loving kindness and goodwill to all. – Celestite Celestite, aka celestine, is said to be an angelic stone. It is used to foster and forge connections to the angel realm and even to angels themselves.

Art and creativity are deeply rooted in Tesa Michaels, a fifth generation artist and third generation fine artist. From a young age she was immersed in a creative atmosphere that offered constant inspiration and a family that nurtured her artistic endeavors and encouraged her to be a professional artist. In grammar school she won art contests, was advanced in her artistic skill for her age, at the age of 12 painting her first oil painting taught by her mom, painting murals for schools. Tesa’s grandmother and mother introduced and taught many mediums to Tesa, who gravitated toward fine art, drawing and painting. At age 17, Tesa was accepted into her first national show, and she taught the art class during the last semester of her senior year of high school. Tesa attended The Art Institute of Colorado, studying fine art then graphic design. Following school, she worked in the graphic design field, in printing as an art and marketing director for a health products company, and in advertising at J. Walter Thompson as an art director working on Ford Motor Company commercials. Realizing she had moved too far from her roots as a fine artist, Tesa began a new career as a professional artist focusing on oil paintings. Wanting to share her enthusiasm and technical skills as an artist, Tesa has taught art workshops and classes at The Showcase Art Center and Aims Community College in Greeley, Colorado. In Colorado, she studied under Clifford T. Bailey, who helped her develop and fine-tune her oil painting skills and helped her to find her voice as a fine artist. “He has encouraged me and influenced me as an artist and mentor; for that I will be forever grateful, which will forever reflect in my work as an artist.” As a Colorado native fond of that state’s lakes and mountains, Tesa has always been inspired by nature. Tesa now lives in San Diego, where she enjoys the ocean and beach. She has always been intrigued with the bold colors painted in the sky at sunset and loves re-creating them on canvas. It comes very naturally….. So it comes so natural to Tesa to paint landscapes, skies, mountains and seascapes. “I try to capture that one amazing moment when the colors line up perfectly in the sky and landscapes, when the values are strong and bold.” Tesa captures the bold essence of nature in her paintings, she captures that small, simple moment in time where the light hits the landscapes perfectly, which will takes your breath away.
