About The Artwork
This is an oil on canvas painting with painterly strokes on a dark canvas. This piece is meant to describe the out-of-body feeling you get when you feel as if you don't belong. I personally feel this way pretty often and wanted to express my feelings via imagery. I chose to leave the figure's face blank, like a template of a human. The green towers are reminiscent of tall buildings that radiate isolating feelings. This includes d rings and a wire on the back (no hooks) and is not framed.

Most of my ideas come from reading Buddhist texts, books on existentialism, and my own experiences with severe depression.
