About The Artwork

I was inspired to create this artwork by a lake among the mountains. In the evening, the water in the lake seems dark green. There’s something ethereal, almost magical, about contemporary paintings. Due to the intense play of colors, the viewer has an extremely large number of new impressions! Energizing and peaceful at the same time! Abstract painting in the main color blue with elements in black, gray, green. This abstract painting is lively and expressive. Abstract minimalism paired with expressionism. Size: 120 H x 120 W x 4,5 cm * Canvas stretched on a wooden frame. * At the request can ship the artwork in a tube (Unstretched canvas with the disassembled subframe in the tube). * The color rendition of computers and phones may differ from the original painting colors.

I am an Ukrainian artist based in Austria, My paintings come from a love for the creative process, love for nature, and love for color. I love to work with color and light in representing the places and moods I have seen. Most of the works begin from sketches, photographs, or just memories of a walk. My work is as much about memory as it is about the place. I look upon my paintings as a map of my life, which I am constantly creating. At some point, the painting process inevitably takes over and starts to generate the painting's subsequent direction. To me, it is the way it can morph into a different state in minutes. My finished piece needs to feel balanced to me. Balanced in the colors I used, a balance in the light. Original elements can then be re-introduced to the work.
