View In A Room

Painting: Oil, Color on Canvas.
The painting deals with essential visual elements that should pull the viewer outside physical world and let him res or play in a more spiritual one. Green is a relaxing color but the way in which it is applied here suggests some kind of play, it is not static. the viewer's eye should play with the color and brushstrokes. Building a painting is essential. It is a long process that starts from an instinctive stroke, only to transform the canvas, by further work, in a intimate and contemplative aesthetic object that is deeply connected to those iconic images that lay deep within us, only to surface occasionally.
There is no subject matter, only a play of color, layers and composition.
The painting has no hanging hardware. It is a canvas stretched on wooden frame. Quality is good. I've stretched and prepared the canvas my self.
