Grigorii Golland "Tender emotion" Painting

Grigory Holland was a nugget — he had no special education, but his paintings are of great interest to connoisseurs of the Russian avant-garde. His paintings he often wrote on scrap material (cardboard, fiberboard, album sheets) and selflessly gave away to friends. He died in poverty, and has not received recognition from figures of official art. The main genre is portrait. He was convinced that there are two types of persons corresponding to two layers of society: demiurges (creators) and all the others (crowd). Some critics (e.g., Leo Diyakonichyn) determine the direction of their favorites as psychological expressionism, the appeal to the human soul. Now the works of Holland are stored in private collections in Russia, Germany, Israel.
