About The Artwork
The painting was produced from a series of photographs taken by my wife on her last visit to New York back in 2007. The subject matter deals with the contradiction between the corporate logos, the high rise towers, the power of money, and the guy begging on the street next to the Obama poster,from which the painting gets it's title. the beggars photo was taken on Broadway,and the sign he was holding is genuine.
