About The Artwork

This piece was made towards the end of the making of artworks for my solo exhibition, Inattention. By this point I was beginning to abstract the faces within my canvas to loose impressions of form which the paint was taking over. The paint through influence of neuroscience, became the physical presence of the mind bringing the body and mind together in one canvas. The devolution of the form in these later canvases was mostly made using expanding foam on canvas, and using oil to make the paint crack whilst curing on the surface, This takes over the canvas and almost removes any trace of form, except for the white paint in top, which aesthetically situates the painting between 'Fanna' and 'Mask'. Comes lacquered, sealed at the back and mirror plated.
