Artwork from the project “Another Dazhynki”* (2015) • “Another Dazhynki” is a continuation of my previous project “Dazhynki”, which took place in autumn 2013. That exhibition was bright, cheerful and light. Art critics and journalists called it an utopia, what I hadn’t fully agreed with, and I was ready to continue energetically “cultivate” the topic... ... But soon the world has changed, and on traditional reproach to the artist: “You are getting too far away from real life!” , I wanted to reply: “Rather, we are all getting too far from death.” And it’s true — we used to live as if we will never die. We are careless in deeds, words, thoughts, and do not think that directly or indirectly may affect not only the life around us, but also the death that surrounds us — we got used to it: the life and the death. We do not appreciate neither life nor death. Neither our own nor the stranger’s. The new series can be called a dystopia, and the union in a single exposure of two opposite projects “Dazhynki” and “Another Dazhynki” allows to articulate my message — regardless of the views and preferences all living people have one thing in common — they are still alive... • *“Dazhynki” (Dozhinki) — the day of the national calendar of the Slavs and the completion of the harvest ritual (Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia)

Belarus
I don't consider myself to any destination in painting. However, if the terminology is necessary sometimes, I call those relationships as "ordinary-life realism", because I'm living or (how at least my life allows that), trying to live this way. More information about me, my paintings & the stages of a long so-called "my way" you can find on my website
