About The Artwork
This 3D mixed media painting on panel is from my series, "Strategies for Present Day Life", which explores ways to endure difficult times. The smooth river stones suggest weights, some hanging below the edge of the panel. The knowledge that things are in a state of constant flux helps us fortify ourselves for more positive times ahead. The stones are attached to the surface of the textured abstract oil painting. The edges of the cradled wood panel are painted in the same tones as the surface of the panel. This artwork does not require framing.
