Harrys Mind Painting

Lothar Cames was born in 1955 in Mönchengladbach, Germany. At an early age he discovered his creative skills and ideas and at the age of 17 years he exhibited in a small plexiglass sculptures community exhibition in Dusseldorf . In these early years he devoted himself to photography, which won him several regional awards. These various photos and Polaroids can still be found in many of his collages. In 1973 Lothar decided to focus on painting. He found an inner peace however, in supplementing painting with writing poems and prose. In the following years his interest in the arts increased and he deepened his painting techniques visiting private art schools. In 1999, he moved to to live and paint in southern Spain. He had his first Spanish exhibition in the art gallery Catalejo Marbella, together with four other international artists. This was followed by numerous other exhibitions in Marbella and Andalucia. Together with his partner, the female artist Enar Cruz he founded a gallery and workshop in 2002. They had successful exhibitions in Florida , Costa Rica and in Holland. In these countries, their work is still represented by well-known art galleries. Lothar Cames´ poems and prose will be published in 2014 in the form of a book.
