Hat Makers Painting

A woman wears an exotic hat, constructed by a bird of flora & fauna. Honeybees buzz about and have been contributing participants as well, for if it wasn't for their pollinating talents flowers and plants of all kinds would be (and are) in jeopardy of existence. I am passionate about honeybees and am a beekeeper. They are fascinating in many ways, but just one interesting fact is that they can only survive united, as a colony, they depend on each other for their survival. Humans depend on them for our survival and only recently the public is becoming aware of the honeybees demise and likely due to human activities. As sad as it is for the honeybees at least the "buzz" is out! Deep reds, rich browns and iridescent gold on the bees and leaves, the background is a soft periwinkle. Painted on panel this painting is ready to hang in a very simple "espresso" tone wood frame. It is about 1 1/2" deep (sticking out from the wall) and has a 3/4" wide flat front face.
