Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin won the first prize at the Turkish Naval Forces Command in the 8th Traditional “Sea '' Painting Competition and the special“ Navy Painter ”title. She wanted to experience and produce the art of the Navy and participated in “ Old Salt 5 Operation”. Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin for two years, he continued her work as a Naval Painter '. Between 2004-2007, she made 30 paintings as a Navy Painter Painter for Turkish Navy in this project. All the works produced by Navy Painter Göknil Gümüş Sungurtekin are permanently exhibited in Turkish Navy halls, museums and archives. Goknil Gumus Sungurtekin is the first Turkish Woman Navy Painter.
