Hell hath no fury Painting

I created this piece at a time in my life when, although I didn't realise it at the time, I had a lot of unresolved anger and blame inside me. As a recovering alcoholic, I was only 7 months sober then and had not yet got to the root cause of problems that were fueling my drinking. Instinctively I painted the canvas red, the colour associated with anger,I then let my emotions pour out as I hurled paint at it, slashed it with a knife and scrawled the word 'Bitch' across it with spray paint. Needless to say, it has been a real talking point over the years and attracts a lot of interest, it makes a very dramatic statement piece. Although I can look at this piece dispassionately now, I still enjoy looking at it as I realise how far I have come. This piece is not intended to arouse anger in the viewer, but after an insight into the story behind it, hopefully, one can appreciate the rawness behind it.
