About the Artist

Maureen Giroud

United Kingdom

My name is Maureen Giroud and I am an artist born in France, I have been travelling around the world and I get my inspiration through music, landscapes, animals, communities and objects.
colour is very important to me and I want to bring love and light through my creations

“Art has always been part of me, I remember as a child spending hours sketching in my room and doing art and crafts. Later on, I found real pleasure in painting with acrylic on canvas, paper and on clay.

I do believe in the power of colours, how it can change a person’s feeling, uplifting, creating an emotion…

Making art and creating gives me the freedom to express my feelings and emotions and I think this personal process enriches the viewer’s experience. I am particularly inspired about the 60s, 70s era through music, fashion and design and through my travels which I try to express on my creations… the vibes are joyful and spirituality takes a big part in my personal life and then in my creations…I think that endless possibilities lends to a myriad of stylistic approaches and an exploration of exciting themes.

It is very interesting to see how people have different reactions and perceptions in front of an art piece and It is intriguing to experience that emotional diversity…
