About The Artwork
Butterfly wings are iridescent and on a microscopic level there can be many colors that are needed to create one visually recognizable color. “Hologram 3” is the artist’s attempt at recreating this phenomenon. The canvas was first painted in a dark gray acrylic. Using a small, round utensil the artist meticulously applied dots in various colors along the canvas. The resulting painting is a joyful riot of color, including greens, blues, yellows, and purples of varying shades. Surrounding some of the white dots, the artist added a halo of iridescent acrylic. The painting is mounted on a frame and is easy to hang.
