About The Artwork

Hydrangea is my passion and love for many years. What a gorgeous color this hydrangea has! At first glance straight into the heart! This hydrangea from the Dutch paradise is Keukenhof. He is also known as the Garden of Europe, one of the world's largest flower gardens, situated in the Netherlands. This picture was painted in only one (!) color (99.9%) - Green Apatite Genuine. What a beautiful name for the paint! Plus one drop of Lunar Black and one more drop of Gamboge, which are not even noticeable, I might not have used them. Paper behaves unusually in a la prima technique, well, more precisely, you need to adjust and get used to it... That's why I love watercolor. And also for granulation (all these unusual dots and "flakes" in the picture). Granulation is everywhere - in architecture, in flowers, in food, in landscapes, it make any painting more mysterious, fuller, richer... And most importantly, granulation is a highlight. It catches the eye, attracts, adds personality and charisma to the painting. Granulation is space! Do you agree? NOTE: The colors shown on your screen and/or web viewing devices may vary slightly from the actual painting or print colors. The images in-home might not be to scale, and serve for illustration purposes only.

A full-time Ukrainian watercolor artist based in Braunschweig (Germany) since spring 2013. I was born and grew up in Poltava, Ukraine. I’ve dreamed to be a painter since my childhood and only after my 25th birthday I’ve started to paint. 6th November 2012 was the best day in my life – my first art class. Traveling and painting has been my big dream, which finally came true in 2013 when we moved from Poltava (Ukraine) to Braunschweig (Germany). I find inspiration in a beauty of nature, flowers and plants, in the beauty of the environment around – from ancient to modern architecture, cityscapes, minimalistic landscapes, and clouds, sunsets, endless sky. To know the materials better I have visited several factories of art materials producers - Hahnemühle (April 2018), Royal Talens (May 2018), Escoda (March 2019). Furthermore, I work and cooperate with world producers of art materials - Hahnemühle, Schmincke, Da Vinci, St. Cuthberts Mill, ShinHan, Royal Talens, Escoda, Rosa, Tombow. I am a member of German Watercolor Society since April 2018 and a member of International Watercolor Society in 2018/2019.
