"I Am The Face" Painting

I paint abstracts spontaneously and whimsically without much forethought save for a vague idea of shape and two colors. Then the process begins.At times I feel like my paintings are a canvas full of corrected mistakes. I honestly think this thought is not unique among artists. There are times, rare though they are, when first efforts are perfect to my eye and I just go with them. I am a student before every new canvas, and I hope always to be."I Am The Face" is one of the rare paintings that , according to my eye, needed no correction. It is a painting of my first efforts from beginning to end. Btw, The "Face", (I think you see it), appeared on the paper, and was never intended to depict a face. Yet, it is clearly a face, and my subconscious did, in fact, intend for it to be a face. I know that sound schizophrenic to some ears, but it's not. I have seen this happen so frequently in creating art, it's just something I accepted as a curious phenomenon early in my experience. Quite amazing, and fun!
