Inspires my work this: By rejecting the notion of a core self and considering how we are a multitude of competing urges and impulses, I think it is easier to understand why we suddenly go off the rails. It explains why we act, often unconsciously in a way that is inconsistent with our self image - or the image of our self as we believe others see us. (Bruce Hood- Self Illusion: How the social brain creates Identity).
I would like with my pictorial research forward the sense of loss of identity of loss of discomfort that you try not to feel part of a social context, historical and in not recognize themselves in social standards in which we live in our cities. The insulation which is intended for.
This work is part of a project entitled #I.D.# that includes photographs and this is the only framework at the time to be a part of it. The canvas and colors used express the meaning of strong intensity given by brush strokes and splashes aggressive deliberately to emphasize this sentiment.
Blue hues in scales of different tones accentuate the depth of the pictorial gesture.
