Havvana usually creates out of a mantra from distinctive moments of her life. This one is pretty self explanatory. Being fragile and vulnerable is required to be in touch with one's core. Yet it is tiring to be exposed to constant state of "opinions" when one's shields are down. Comes a point where frustration raises as if held back from connecting to self. It's a powerful quote demanding with urgency. Yet the composition is confident and bright, without holding aggression. Defending one's state of presence by manifesting requirements are necessary, not rude. Created on a pressed canvas board, with acrylic and spray paint, on top of newspaper and other materials for texture effect on the background. Coated stable with satin varnish. Framed with dark navy passepartout, which can be removed or changed.

Havvana Merve Akkartal is a Turkish artist. Born in Isparta, Turkey in 1988. She studied Industrial Product Design at Yeditepe University and graduated in 2012. Following graduation, attended Shillington College for Graphic Design in London. Worked as graphic designer and art director through most of her career. She lived in London after graduation to pursue her creative journey from 2013 untill 2015. Afterwards she moved to India in 2017 and lived in Mumbai and Goa before settling back in İstanbul in 2020. Living and working in foreign places enriched her persona via art of painting. She kept working on many mediums from watercolour to screen print, experimented her message while trying to find the most appropriate techniques for each artwork.
