I ducking hatw you Painting

I see this guy as a new version of @marilynmanson adapted to the contemporary aesthetics and music. He is doing metal trap full of creepy noises and gloomy sounds. So he came up with a very very interesting fusion from differents styles, creating a unique sound. Bass is powerful as shit. But anyways apart from that, I selected this pic to paint it because there is a big amount of interesting elements on it: Tattoos on his body. For the time when I painted this one (almost a year ago) I haven’t tried yet or maybe just lightly, how would look tattoo on skin in a painting. So this is one of the first attempts for tattoos. He also has nice gloves which are made of fabric in the original pic. But I wanted to try to do them in leather to put xtra “gloomy atmosphere”. There is more interesting elements that I wanted to try to paint them (because I have never paint them) like the rings on fingers, two callout hair and also very very dark eyes. Most of the times I tend to apply effects at the background on my paintings. Effects as gradients, brush marks or words are common elements that use to fill it. On this collection, just by accident (I really had not a previous plan for the background) I ended up using a radial gradient for the background. And that became the main key of the collection that unifies all paintings from the collection. This background makes a ver nice contrast between the backside of the figure (which is very bright) and the edges of the painting (very dark tones). The bright light that surround the figure create the perfect contrast with the shadows of the body.
