About The Artwork

My work serves as a visual testament to the intricate interplay of social, cultural, and psychological facets that define our modern existence. In a world marred by the erosion of collective mythologies I seek to dissect and examine the resulting fissures and fractures within the human psyche. Over the past few years, my work has coalesced into a coherent series, featuring a recurring character who oscillates between the role of an observer and a direct participant in the reconstructed metaphors drawn from my memories and observations. This character symbolizes the individual's struggle to navigate the contemporary landscape, oscillating between moments of detachment and profound connection.

Milada's work explores universal themes, reflecting the societal and cultural challenges of contemporary life giving an apocalyptic aftertaste. Her figurative painting serves as a commentary on the loss of global mythologies and answers existential questions of the human experience. Her art is deeply personal yet resonates with a broader audience, particularly those who came of age in the post-Soviet era.
