About The Artwork

The sombre title suggests an idea of sadness, but for me these old items inspire within me a sense of nostalgia. The stories that bear could tell. Another from the 'Used to be..' series, looking at the idea of these old forgotten items that used to play an important part in peoples lives. I love the textures and colours that arise over time, adding a greater layer to how we see them. 'I used to be loved' is a watercolour artwork depicting an old ragged teddy bear, slumped down and seemingly forgotten. Created using high quality pigments on professional cotton paper. The image measures 36 x 26cm, but comes ready to hang in a simple black frame of 50 x 40 cm.

A white border highlights the art. The frame is completed with museum quality, non reflective crystal to give a clear view and preserve the work for years to come.
