This piece was my attempt to capture the emotive and ethereal experience I felt while touring the countryside of Scotland with someone who I knew wouldn't continue to be in my life much longer after the trip. The title stems from a lyric of a Bon Iver song named "Holocene", which played several times during our road trip from Edinburgh to the Isle of Islay.
