I visited a friend in New Zealand, and on return painted a remembered image of his simple mid-century house surrounded by lush forest next to a beach and shallow bay. I referenced a photo for the house, but otherwise worked from memory, trying to capture the unique feeling and mood that the location had. Ready to hang diptych painting - no frame required.
