"The Two Sides Of Money" is the second artwork in "Idan" series, inspired by the journey into the darkest side of oneself influenced by substances. This artwork represents the contrast between a careless naiveté that thinks that money grows on trees and ruthless dominatrix that steps over bodies to get the power and the wealth that she wants. Both women are partially naked, symbolizing that no matter which role they choose, their deep insecurities and true nature are still exposed. Whether the picture depicts two different women in parallel worlds, or one woman type transforming into another due to external circumstances, or the inside and outside of the same woman as she deals with money - this should be decided by your own conscience. For unknown to me reason, I have always had a very difficult relationship with accepting the people who abuse the substances of all kinds. "Idan" series is my own journey of acceptance of the addiction side of me through observation of other people, dear to my heart at some point in my life. (C) 2018 TRANSLATED POETRY (ENGLISH) About A Beggar... Don't be afraid to explode, Don’t be afraid to turn into dust. The stiffer are the lashes of the sky, The closer is the legend to the truth. Don't be afraid to wake up a beggar Without flock, blade, and iron case. Believe me, you'll become cleansed. After all, the beggar lives as he can. After all, the beggar lives in the present, led by blind invocation, alone, Without show-offs and conspiracies, Without bread, family, and home. He already fights without despair, Trading wine for a gulp of water. Believe me, you will become brighter! You’ll be free from the darkest quarter ... And only at the bottom of the battles, Like a call from heaven’s phone, Suddenly a solution will come to you. And here you are again ... airborne. Elena Emma's unique painting and writing style exudes infinite inner depth and freedom. All of her paintings, completed with an illustrative playful touch, have a piece of unique, immensely deep poetry dedicated to them, contrasting the complexity of adult-like subjects with child-like strokes. As a diverse writer, emerging artist, startup consultant and entrepreneur, a professor, a mother of two boys, and a passionate, curious, and spiritual woman, Elena draws her inspiration from experiential fearlessness, deep observational analysis, continuous soul searching, and never-ending internal and external growth. Her visual and written stories, often told from a female perspective, concentrate on exploring the larger picture in business, love, and being. They stimulate the reader and the viewer with open-ended questions and strong encouragement to find his or her own truth. Her characters and situations are multi-dimensional, and through them, she often challenges widely-accepted designations of personal and professional, new and old, right and wrong, good and bad, blurring the preset differences between these terms, and offering new definitions. Elena is the authentic "voice" of her generation, of those born in the 1980s and 1990s to a world of distorted physical, geographical, and moral boundaries, who are yet to find balance between the inborn inner wisdom and cynical dissonance of outside happenings. Be it fiction, nonfiction, poetry, or paintings, Elena Emma's artwork will leave you mildly teary-eyed and contemplative about your own daily existence and the changes you can make to it. THE SKY IS NO LIMIT.
