If not me who?If not now when? Painting

This new body of work was triggered by a strange dream, a dream of being engaged in a deep conversation with an artist from the past. The dream itself, the whole performative aspect of the dream prompted the need for further investigation. As a result, I created paintings that urged me to continue this path and produce the works presented in this exhibition. My work explores the relationship between body and life as performance. I use my own body as a tool to create dreamlike spaces, as if creating an imaginary movie with each character playing its assigned role. New fascinations are prioritized from both implicit and unconscious connections. I have been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of social norms and by the endless oscillation of meaning, leaving the viewer with an awareness of the prospects of ourselves, of social constructs, a sense of chaos and the prospect of a new reality.
