Prehistoric religions and cultures venerated the Sacred Feminine, directly inspired by Mother Earth. Subsequently humanity, to develop the practical side of its evolution, has taken its path on the rational, often overbearing and crude part of the path of the masculine. Adam's Dream is a work directly inspired by the biblical episode of Genesis. Adam appears asleep, with his hand on his rib as if to point out a little pain. While he is unaware and his face is reflected in a pond, the image of Eve appears, the female who finally appears to the world and becomes real, revealing herself from the dream in all the beauty and power of her. So I wanted to represent the awareness of the ideal of Femininity which in this society of ours often too much turned towards the masculine and rational side, must make its way as far as possible, because the new destiny of humanity depends on it. We need a society that makes the Essence of the Feminine, the bearer of creativity, beauty and knowledge, a bulwark of new ethical and social life, after centuries of cynical sense of rationality and overbearing male chauvinism. The painting is a symbol. From a practical point of view, humanity must welcome the opportunity to give full space to the right side of the brain. With the education of thought, you must create the right balance between the rational left side and the right side of the creative emotion, thus rediscovering your own divine self. The work is geometrically structured on the spiral of the golden section that starts from the heart of Eve and turns the painting up to the upper right corner. This type of composition, used extensively in the Renaissance, allowed me to create a harmonious relationship between the figures and to better arrange the scenic layout of the landscape. The painting was varnished after a month of color drying with a glossy final varnish. Shipped with stamp and certificate of authenticity.
