Immortalising the Immortal No2 Painting

The glass used in this painting was an abandoned object. The painter himself collected it from a pavement in Athens. Collecting abandoned/deserted objects and turning them into an art object is a regular practice of the painter in his classical realism works. This practice is a reflection of his personal life, as he was an orphan abandoned by his parents. So the artwork is one of those still-life paintings with a personal insight. Technically, the painting is a piece of experiment with artificial light temperatures. 2700 K light was used while painting it in order to give a warm effect in overall canvas. The idea behind this artificial light temperature experiment is to show that objects and their environment tend to change depending on their light source and its temperature. Colours become warmer at lower Kelvin degrees and cooler in higher Kelvin degrees. Light temperature plays a tremendous role creating a warmth effect.
