The scientific or Latin name of this flower is Thunbergia Grandiflora, and it is commonly known as blue trumpet vine, clock vine, sky vine or sky flower. It grows in tropical weathers with trumpet shaped flowers of color blue sky or lavender blue with yellow and white throats. This plant is a good option for covering walls, pergolas, hanging baskets and it looks stunning when hanging down other robust trees species. Given the beautiful values and tones of its blue-sky colors, it is the recipient of the prestigious Award of Garden Merit by the Royal Horticultural Society. The blue sky-flower is a wonderful climber, although not very resistant to cold. In the beginning, it needs to be guided to grow as our little children.
