About The Artwork
Inspired by an image of my niece, this piece brought back memories of my own childhood, growing up in rural Ireland with the freedom to explore. The picture captured her on a tightrope created through trees in the middle of a woods. I took the background out as I wanted to capture the feeling of the moment; energy and excitement, combined with concentration.

Capturing the energy of moments and people, her practice reflects identity and the human condition. Working in mixed media; predominately painting, drawing and screen-printing, her work features bold colours and gestural lines.
