I feel like I should pair audio with my paintings. I don’t think the title and photo allow me to get out what I want to but here it goes. “ In Thunder Bay we’re all saved” Recently we celebrated the life of my partner’s Grampy. I cannot think of grampy without thinking of the colour blue, likely because he wore blue 98% of the time but also because my memories of Grampy are associated with the deep blues of refreshing lakes, blue summer skies, and his shimmering blue eyes telling a story. I started painting this a few days before he died as I was reflecting on his impact.
