Artist featured in a collection by Saatchi Art. Original one of a kind Created:2017 Subjects: Human figure. Materials: Canvas pigmented with ibiscus roots extracts. Styles: ConceptualExpressionismFigurativeFine ArtModern Mediums: Charcoal brought from Namibia, Africa. This piece is the result of my travels through Egypt along with studies on Egyptian Art and Egyptian Mythology. This work has also been influenced by similar artwork created by famous and still alive British human figure painter Jenny Saville & Francis Bacon (deceased). The material holding this conceptual representation of monochromatic intertwined flesh is cotton canvas; cotton representing a source of income for Egyptians since times of antiquity. The greeks and the Arabs were not familiar with cotton until Alexander the Great. The gesso employed to primar this raw fabric brought from Aswan (on the shores of the Nile) was pigmented with natural extracts mainly from roots that produce IBISCUS, whose taint resembles a red sepia, and which was also brought back home. Ibiscus being a drink Egyptians consume to this day and that serves as a refreshment for all occasions
