ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Unframed watercolor on 140# Fabriano Artistico smooth press paper. In my ink and watercolor pieces, the ink sets a visible pathway for the creative process while it provides a type of armature to which the paints can attach themselves. Often, it creates a sense of boundary as well. As in my entirely watercolor pieces, I have no external point of reference. As in my work in all media, there is no “correct” way for a viewer to see the completed painting. Instead, there is the challenge of finding one’s own truth within it.
