This image is part of a "Tell Me A Story" series of works on paper based on industrial images from the Allegheny Plateau extraction sites 1880-1920. The extraction industry at the turn of the 20th century changed the landscape of the Appalachian Mountains. This piece combines digital transfer imagery with the elegance of a watercolor and wax brocade pattern as if looking out a window.
