Using art as a therapy, just like Tracey Emin's work, who turned out to become the artist that most inspired me. I like to classify my art as a visually organic and abstract confessional art. My paintings invite the viewer to analyze the relation between title and the image, wanting them to connect to the painting internally by reviewing personal experiences that evoque the senses of freedom, calmness and peace. Guided by the psychology of colors, in this specific art piece I was seeking for the previously mentioned emotions, being this the main reason I chose the color blue in the first place. Wanting to let out a specific trauma that was taking complete control of me, being through several therapies I was searching for these sensations through the uncontrolled expansion of the blue ink in the surface. Letting the material guide me and not the other way around, as an analogy of my thoughts and rage taking over me. I chose this medium and abstract style as a challenge to myself, wanting to capture and transform this traumatic experience into an image; the process turned out to be an unconstrained catharsis where I let the medium own the space creating depth, volume and several textures using only bi dimensional resources. Recommended installation procedures: Do not hang the painting where it will receive direct sunlight. Installation hardware not included.

Born (1993) and raised in Chile where I currently live. My painting is mainly influenced by organic/biomorphic abstraction, that is mostly based on round shapes such as those found in nature. Always creating an abstract language by constructing an organic imaginary universe that appropriates space through fluent and fortuitous shapes. Based on the superposition of layers, the transparencies that these generate, and the gradients of color; I create different depths and visual volumes that expand the perspective towards a third dimension I’m very interested in contemporary art in general, mainly painting, sculpture and installations in every form and material. As an artist, today my work is centered in the exploration, investigation and creation of new abstract languages that articulate painting with a third dimension. My main motivation is the social role that lies in my profession, being crucial in this aspect the visibility of the main current and existing universal issues, throughout methods that connect society with art; forming opinion and debate about these subjects.
