About The Artwork
Inspired by reflections, the sound of the sea, and small handmade paper shops that line the narrow streets of Italy. I was interested in an integration of soothing thoughts and feelings with a gently stimulating activity, like water moving on a river. This work has layered meanings and uses a pulled color process (at a certain stage in the drying, the paint is pulled with a flat edge, allowed to dry, and then again is pulled). I imagine this in a grouping of works or solo in an intimate space. This is a work on paper mounted on wood.
