This painting is layered with many raised splatters. Starting from the left top corner from turquoise and blues working its way down to bronzes and into deep paynes grey and phthalo greens and turquoises. little peek a boo's of deep red glass like splatters are scattered throughout. from afar the colors appear in a diagonal striped pattern.

My goal as an artist is to create beautiful paintings that evoke emotion in people. All of my work is made with the intention that the viewer will feel something inside that they can connect with. After 20+ years painting all sorts of creatures, places and things I find myself continuously inspired to paint the landscape around me as well as create abstracts that speak emotion through color, texture and form. Although I am still prone to wander into different subject matters and styles. I'm all over the map! Hopefully in a good way ;-) I work with acrylic paint and various acrylic mediums on canvas. The medium is very versatile, dries quickly which allows me to experiment, which I love. I was Born in Windsor, Ontario in 1974 and from a very young age the natural world around me has mesmerized and inspired me to create visual art. Translating the vibrations of nature into color, texture and balanced design, is my passion . For the most part I am self taught and am fortunate to come from a creative family that has always encouraged and inspired me to express myself in artistic ways. In the past I have had careers and schooling as an actor, make up artist and as a personal trainer. During that time I was always painting, drawing and studying art on the side. Exploring different mediums and experimenting with different styles in order to create my own style. From 1999-2004 I began casually showing and selling my work in cafe’s in and around Vancouver BC. In 2008 after the birth of my son I decided a career as a professional full time artist was what I wanted to pursue. I’ve since successfully painted many commissions and sold many original works both on-line and locally. Realizing the importance of connecting with nature, my community , fellow artists and art lovers was a big reason for my move to the Sunshine Coast of British Columbia two years ago. I presently work out of my home studio in Sechelt BC. I am available for commissioned work and would love to work with you on creating the perfect painting and color scheme for any room in your home.
