About The Artwork
It is through a mixture between the natural and urban sphere that I have depicted this landscape. The geometric shapes evoke circuits and paths while the touches of more informal colors testify to a wilder side of the environment. I wanted to represent a kind of microcosm; an ecosystem linked to human presence. Exceptionally I used a patterned roller to make the frame on the right of the painting because I needed a mechanical tool to apply the paint systemically. For most of the surface, I first applied a dark color and then superimposed increasingly clear layers of opaque and transparent paints using brushes of different widths. https://youtu.be/kEbWwkgXlSw
