About The Artwork
I grew up riding and showing American Quarter Horses, so I've always loved the western-inpired horse artwork that came along with the territory. While traditional western artwork doesn't fit my personal painting aesthetic as an artist today, I find ways to blur the lines between traditional and contemporary. I use collage, texture and metallic elements to my horse paintings. It's my way of preserving one of my favorite elements of American history, but making it contemporary and cool for the urban setting.
