About The Artwork
Oil on Particle Board. This concept (girl with glass) started as a watercolor „Steampunk#1”. But a few weeks later- before I would find out the vision of the background- I saw a photo, which became the reference image for this painting. Her face is partly covered, but I found that something in her eyes- what I loved so much in the previous Birkin portrait (La Piscine). That took a long time- I finished it only in 2018- but it’s one of my favorites. I loved to make the details of the glass, the hand, and the shirt. Signed on the front. It's in a simple white edge frame. The depth of the painting- with the frame is 1,4 cm.
