About The Artwork

This painting is part of series of figures in water. The color choices in this particular one reminded me of an exhibit I once saw of Mughal era paintings from the Royal Court of Jodhpur (India). The grey greens, with pink accents in a garden setting sparked that connections but only after I had finished it. This is a painting to relax with and that is meant to evoke feelings of connection and well being. The painting itself is done directly on glass, from the back. This is done on vintage craftsman era window in it's original wood frame. I've trimmed the wood and repainted it, but it retains some signs of it's rustic origins, by intention. A braided metal wire attached to the back with d-rings allows for conventional wall hanging. For 4 months starting on June 1. 2022 this piece has been moved to 'Not For Sale' as it is part of a solo show at Perry & Carlson in Mount Vernon, WA. If it doesn't sell during that time it will be returned here to the 'For Sale' category. In the meantime, prints are still available for sale through Saatchi.

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

I value the gestural mark, the traces of the human hand in artwork, imperfection and pieces that seek to involve the viewer, requiring them to complete the piece before them. My themes vary widely, wherever my soul, or my nose, takes me. My work is always starts with sketches and studies. I enjoy working with a subject and exploring it repeatedly in multiple pieces that vary in scale and media as a way of challenging my own perception and preconceived notions. I hope the viewer of these also has an experience of renewal and fresh ways of looking.
