To capture the feeling I painted it life as I didn't want to trust camera to interpret the image and to distort the emotion. *** For my paintings I strictly follow all the rules for conservation to make sure you can enjoy them for years to come, with no fading, cracking, bubbling, warping or other problems. I am a passionate plain-air painter: painting outside, on location, is essential for creating my landscapes. To capture the feel and spirituality of the moment I have to work fast in plein air before the scene changes and often have to return to the locations several times to directly observe the scene and study the light and colour variations: photographs are a poor substitute to a live impression. I also paint still lives, especially flowers, and figure compositions. Similar to my landscapes I usually paint while directly observing the subject and creating multiple studies to bring genuine emotions onto the canvas.
