About The Artwork
This series explores the parts of ourselves when they feel ripped apart, destroyed, left in tatters. And then the inevitable healing that comes and the eventual appreciation for that pain, how it made you stronger, made you soar and the wisdom that comes from loving those seasons, even if only in hindsight. This piece uses velvet sewn onto a sections of a painting on raw canvas using cottonwood seed. Details include gold foil, stitched lines and paint markings.
