The lemurs native to Madagascar not only suffer from hunting, but also from the destruction of their habitat and are therefore classified as endangered by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN). In the last 24 years the population has declined by 50%, which is due, among other things, to deforestation and slash and burn. (Source: German Primate Center) The picture was painted with silver and white ink and acrylic paint on cardboard and does not contain a hanging hardware.
