About The Artwork

Kelp captures carbon up to 35 times faster than tropical rainforests and, even though it only covers 0.1% of the seafloor, it absorbs 3% of the earth’s ocean carbon each year, making it an incredible tool in the fight against climate change. Anthropomorphism of this plant informs of the connection which is transpiring between the boating industry which strives to avoid damaging and helps to preserve this vital botanic, and this life saving species.
