Here I battle with Line and Fill. Returning to Greek imagery to explore line and form. Instead of an outline, what if we have an inline. Extending ideas of inside and outside, object and subject, architecture and body. Breaking down and pushing the limit of what a depiction can be. Here Theseus kills the minotaur, a creature Picasso identified with. In this way I kill the influence of the father figure and my art is freed to be its own creative entity. Having learned from Picasso's work here the last act of freeing makes reference to the influence the work is free of.
