Kokopelli Ancient Friend Painting

Kokopelli was first depicted hundreds of years ago in ancient art on cave and canyon walls of the North American Southwest. He was depicted as a hump backed figure playing his flute and dancing across the arid lands. He was believed to be both a trickster and a benevolent figure bringing fertility to the land and the people. The figure of Kokopelli was one of the earliest spirit figures to be depicted in the ancient cave art.
